Amazing food every time! Was shown this place by a friend and now go at least once a month they Will cook it just as u ask and all the Staff are lovelyless

This is nothing like a normal curry house. I can't believe how much I enjoyed this food. Passionate owner and food to die for. I travelled from st fagans to eat here and it was well worth the travel. I had lamb karahi which had the bone marrow in( amazing) , masala fish ( proper tasty) some kebabs which had some good spice, and was given on the house this yogurt, onion and chickpea side which tied it all together. Get yourself down there.less

they make really good kebabs from mince and nan bread all done in the tandori oven. really cheap as well. Let down by the seating though.less

A friend of mine has been raving about this place for the past 18 months. He told me that for a real "home cooking" experience, it cannot be beaten in Cardiff. We ate there last night, and I must agree with him. It was excellent. If you want a restaurant with fawning waiting staff dressed in a take off of their traditional clothing, push seating, soft lights, sitar music, and, worst of all, a modernised menu with eye watering prices, this is not a place for you. The décor is nothing to get excited about. Basically, the plain walls are decorated with the menu and details of various meal deals. The lighting is bright, the tables and chairs are very basic, but not uncomfortable. My friend did the ordering. I was very surprised. We both have hearty appetites, but he only ordered three starters for each of us, followed by one main course. When I questioned him, he told me not to worry as we could order more if it was necessary. We both started with Vegetable Samosa, Vegetable Pakora, and Onion Bhaji. They were beautifully spiced, and not at all greasy. All were delicious, and the Sasmosa was as good as any that I have ever eaten Cardiff. Our main course was Kerela Gosht. Three very large patties of superbly seasoned minced meat, came accompanied with Salad plus Mint and Yoghurt dressing, and two Nan Breads. The Nan was the best that I have eaten anywhere. Super tasty and. all for £7.00 !!! Amazing value. There was a small selection of typically Eastern Deserts. My friend assured me that the Rice Pudding was to die for. Sadly, I was too stuffed to even think of eating another morsel. I will certainly have it next time. And the Lamb Karahi which looked amazing. Though we were the only two Brits in the place, we did not feel out of place for a moment, as the staff and the other diners were so friendly. It was indeed a pleasure to relax and enjoy eating our food the proper way, using the Nan rather than cutlery. without being stared at. Our total bill came to a miserly £13.00. and I highly recommend this hidden gem.less
Eaten a couple of times and never been disappointed. Looks nothing special but curries stunning and cheap. Friendly staff too. less
